DIY Dresser Makeover Instructions
1.Before painting the dresser, wipe the dresser down using a microfiber cloth. Then, apply one coat of Behr Marquee Egg Shell paint to the trim, sides, and top, of the dresser. This Behr Marquee EggShell paint is a paint and primer in one which is perfect for painting furniture. After you’re done painting, let the dresser dry for 1 hour.

2.Next, sand down the front of your dresser drawers with sandpaper. Applying contact paper to furniture can seem overwhelming, so you might be thinking, “How do you put contact paper on a dresser?” First, measure the drawers (1ft 11 inches wide and 7 inches tall.)Then, cut the paper an inch bigger than the measurement. So you can easily trim the sides after you apply the contact paper.
2APeel a small piece of the contact paper from the backing and stick it to the dresser. As you apply the contact paper to the dresser, remove the backing slowly, as not to create air bubbles. When applying the dresser, you can use your hand or a squeegee to smooth out bubbles or creases in the wallpaper. Trim the excess contact paper using a craft knife. Repeat steps 3x for each drawer.

3.Open the drawer and push the cabinet knob screw through the hole inside the drawer. Once the knob is poking through, attach the knob to the screw.

4. Decorate the top of the dresser with bohemian accent decor. Add a bit of texture to your dresser with a terracotta dried palm leaf in an abstract vase and a bamboo tray. Place your favorite quote, art print, or photo on the dresser in a gold brass frame. Style this bohemian dresser in your kid’s bedroom, guest room or as a nightstand in your master bedroom.
